Today I am very grateful for those reminders that show us where we are on track, and for those that show us that we are getting off track, so that we can make a conscious choice to choose power over futility, to choose joy over pain, and to choose real, wide awake life over false, sleeping existence.
So today I say Thank you God for the motivation to get back to walking around the pond again. The birds, the water, the plants, the turtles, the trees, the other walkers....what a great and life affirming way to get some physical exercise, breathe some fresh air, and clear my mind and spirit. Thank you for the pond.
Thank you for my glucose meter and for its very high reading this morning. The little drop of life blood showed me that I have spent the past few days making choices that were NOT in the direction I want to go, and reminded me that I need to walk down the right path to get to where I want to be. They are the road sign that alerted me to the fact that I was starting to go on the wrong road again. Thank you for the little drop of life that helps me turn the right corners.
Thank you for the gift of the library, where I can come to work on my writing each day. Thank you for an easy $11 writing assignment that was quickly done, and thank you for the reminder that if I am going to make a go of this as a way to bring in extra money (on top of my love for writing) that I need to keep up on the assignment pages so that I can actually grab a few each week. It was a gift to get such an easy assignment. It is a gift to make some extra money with my writing. Thank you for that gift.
