Gratitude is the most amazing way to remember and realize how incredible your ovwn life is RIGHT NOW. I am happy to have the chance to share my gratitude with others, and not just keep it to myself.
My youngest son has been motivated to WALK into school each day. He walks from the car holding my hands, and then the teacher leaves his walker in the lobby for us and he walks all the way to his classrooom (which is at the end of a LONG hallway). He is amazing, his motivation to overcome is amazing, and I am deeply grateful for his healing process. His hip abductors are looser this morning than I have seen them be in many months. He is more flexible, he is getting stronger. There is more indication that he will walk someday, that he will be able to be more independent.
I am grateful for the beautiful spring weather, the green grass which is peeking out, for the flowers that have started to open, for the birds that have returned....I am thankful for Spring.
I am grateful for new books and books on tape so that I can listen while I walk.
I am grateful for both of my children, for the way they are growing and developing, and for the great lives they have before them.
I am grateful for my own strength, for the strength to breathe, for the strength to smile, for the ability to choose to focus on the positive.
I am grateful for a new beginning everyday.
