Gratitude is like seeing the sun filtering through the trees and remembering that within each of us is an energy far greater than that of the sun, which we project outward through the thoughts, words, and deeds that we do--filtered through the emotional and spiritual blocks that cast shadows on the objects of our focus. The energy is stronger than the whatever blockages we have that us down!!
Today, right now...oh Lordy, I am grateful for the knowledge that everything is working together for good, even when I make mistakes or poor choices, that as long as I keep my ears and eyes open, my heart wide and vulnerable, and my mind ready to be flexible--that no matter what comes my way, I always have the choice to make a change to improve life--for me and for those around me. It is never too late to change your mind. It is never too late to alter a detrimental trend. It is never too late express appreciation in a new way. It is never too late to change behavior to show more respect towards others. and it is never, ever too late to be grateful.
I am grateful for the amazing people in my life--both the old and the new--who can forgive my shortcomings and who are willing to see the person within.
I am grateful for the gift of being able to change my mind, especially when it comes to big decisions, like my children's schooling.
I am grateful for the desire to improve my life, even when a part of me wants to give up, that the part of me that wants a better life always wins.
I am grateful for my children, and the ability to see and appreciate them for who they are, rather than how the world wants them to be.
I am grateful that there are so few absolutes in Creation, because it reminds me that we live in a World of Infinite possibilities and that with God, nothing is impossible.
I am grateful that when we connect with people, we have areas where we overlap, and areas where we do not, and that dynamic helps bring both people into new ways of thinking and understanding.
I am grateful for breath, breathing, and the peace that comes with concentrating on inhaling and exhaling.
